    Intermap Signs GIS Software Provider

    Denver-based Intermap Technologies has signed on a provider of geographic information system (GIS) software to its map data, the firm said this morning. Intermap said that Global Mapper Software LLC, which produces GIS software, will offer the firm's high-resolution digital elevation models to its users. According to Intermap, Global Mapper's software can now easily ingest the firm's data products from within the application, where it is used for distance and area calculations, and other functions, for customers doing scientific investeigation, urban planning, environmental impact assessments, and more. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed.
