    IKANO, Covad Expand Strategic Partnership

    Wholesale Internet service provider IKANO Communications announced Monday that it has expanded its strategic partnership with voice and data communications specialist Covad Communications Group Inc. Under the new deal, IKANO will market higher-speed broadband packages, such as Covad's T1 and ADSL 2+ services, to more than 250 branded partners and thousands of retail subscribers, IKANO said. The Salt Lake City, Utah-based firm added that Covad's ADSL service will offer download speeds of up to 6.0 Megabits per second, while Covad’s ADSL 2+ and T1 services will offer speeds up to 15.0 Mbps. Covad Communications Group is headquartered in San Jose, Calif.
