IKANO Inks $26M DSL Deal with AT&T

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Internet service provider IKANO Communications Inc. has signed a 30-month, multi-services agreement with communications heavyweight AT&T worth $26 million, AT&T revealed Wednesday. According to AT&T, the deal includes a new DSL commercial agreement that enables IKANO to provide broadband access to AT&T users. IKANO will also provide dial-up Internet access and Internet Protocol backbone connectivity, AT&T explained, adding that IKANO will become an aggregator for lower-volume ISP customers who are seeking competitive rates. AT&T said IKANO will be able to market tiered DSL services in 13 states.
