    Oakley Adds Laptop Security Software

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Oakley Networks has launched a new product that the company is targeting at companies looking to secure laptops. The firm said Monday that it has launched a new product called SureFind, which contacts enterprises when a laptop is lost or stolen, and reports its location or destroys data on the laptop. The software automatically connects to an enterprise as soon as a laptop is turned on, allows for downloading of logs, and can delete all data on a laptop remotely. According to Oakley, the new software even works if a new operating system has been installed on the machine. Oakley is venture-backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Fidelity Ventures, and DAG Ventures.
