Boulder-based spread spectrum radio provider FreeWave Technologies reported a win with a Wisconsin wholesale electric supplier today, saying it has deployed wireless radios for Dairyland Power Cooperative. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Freewave said the cooperative is using its radios for distribution automation applications. Dairyland serves more than 600,000 customers in its service area, which covers Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois. Freewave develops licensed and spread spectrum radios, which are used for data transmissions.
