Exabyte Ships New Library
Boulder, Colorado-based Exabyte has added a new tape library to its lineup. The firm said today that its Magnum 448 LTO tape library is targeted at SMB customers. The new product provides up to 38.4TB using LTO-3 cartridges, and a maximum backup throughput of 1,152GB per hour. The firm's smallest configuration includes a single LTO-2 or LTO-3 tape drive, in either SCSI or Fibre Channel, and a capacity of 48 LTO tape cartridges. The new device starts at $7,950. Exabyte is a manufacturer of tape drives and tape libraries for the data storage market.
