DISH Links With Common Sense Media On Content Ratings
Englewood, Colorado-based satellite television operator DISH said today that it has linked up with nonprofit Common Sense Media to integrate that group's age ratings with its service. DISH said that Common Sense Media's ratings will be available on its DISH Anywhere mobile apps and whole home HD DVR. Common Sense Media offers up ratings of content based on violence, positive role models, sex, and language. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Common Sense Media offers up an independent rating of movies and TV shows, which go beyond the voluntary ratings provided by TV channels and studios for their content.
