Digital Realty Buys Property In Phoenix For Data Center Expansion

A data center operator has acquired some property in Phoenix, for the building of a new data center. Digital Realty Trust, a San Francisco company which builds and operates data centers nationally, said it has acquired three buildings in Phoenix, Arizona, totaling approximately 227,000 square feet. The purchase price was approximately $24.0M. Digital Realty said that the first building, with approximately 109,000 square feet, will be added to its inventory held for development into a data center; the firm said the building can support approximately 7.2 megawatts of IT capacity.
