Salt Lake City-based Control4, the home automation and control hardware firm headed by Will West, said today that it has inked a deal with home builder Holmes Homes and integrator Safe & Sound Systems. According to Control4, Homes Homes has selected Control4's products as a standard feature in a new housing development in Daybreak, a development near Salt Lake City. Control4 said that the standard package will include an IP-based security system, a Control4 whole home controller, lighting and thermostat controls, Zigbee door locks form Kwikset, iPod docking stations, and more. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. The entry-level homes start at $130,000. Holmes is building its new development near South Jordan, headed toward the Kennecott Copper mine west of Salt Lake City.
