Concept To Company Focuses On Digital Media, Entertainment
Grow Utah Ventures, the group behind the "Concept to Company" competitions in Utah to spur entrepreneurial ventures, said yesterday that its next contest will focus on digital media and entertainment. The firm's last contest was around sports equipment. According to Grow Utah Ventures, the new digital media contest will focus on new products or services in the areas of mobile phone applications, computer animation, video streaming, gaming, graphics and compression technology. The deadline for the new competition is February 17th, with the winning entry receiving up to $35,000 in a combination of cash and services. Two runners-up will get $17,000 in cash and services. Grow Utah said that so far, the firm's Concept to Company contests have distributed $190,000 in prize money and helped 18 companies brind their ideas to fruition.
