Boulder, Colorado-based ColorLinks said today that it has released a product targeted at manufacturers of stereoscopic 3D projection systems. The firm, which supplies polarization and color management systems, said that it has released a solid state switchable polarizer calls ALPS. The polarizer is attached to 3D projectors and is used for creating a stereoscopic, 3D effect for entertainment and other uses. Polarizers are typically used in conjunction with polarized lenses for 3D movies and scientific applications.
