Colorado Taps Social Media For Tourist Promotion
Colorado's Tourism Office is looking to tap social media for its latest promotion, saying Monday that it will award a three month, all expense paid trip to Colorado, to three people who have never seen snow and submit a video to its web site. The Snow at First Sight campaign is targeting people who have never seen snow--or, from its rules, seen "significant snow conditions"--and who can create a user-generated video about why they deserve the prize. The office is also looking for those entrants to use Twitter, Facebook, and other social media to spread the word about their entries. The office said it will fly out ten finalists to Colorado for an audition for the final three spots.
