Cherwell Software Snags $50M

Colorado Springs-based Cherwell Software announced this morning that it has raised $50M in a funding round, from private equity investor KKR. The investment came from KKR's Next Generation Technology Fund. The company said that KKR is joining existing investorInsight Venture Partners in investing in the company. Cherwell is a provider of it service management (ITSM) software, and is led by CEO Craig Harper. As part of the funding, Vini Letteri of KKR joins Cherwell's board of managers.
