Phoenix-based online car seller Carvana said today that it has expanded into Columbus, Ohio, its seventh new market in the last seven months. The new location--its first in Ohio--will provide next day delivery of automobiles to the local market. Carvana says it now has sixteen markets it is operating in. Carvana is best known for creating its "car vending machines" to promote its online car buying service. Carvana is led by Ernie Garcia; the company now has operations in Atlanta, Austin, Birmingham, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, Raleigh, San Antonio, Tampa, Richmond, and Washington D.C., in addition to Columbus. The company has raised more than $460M in funding to build out its online car dealership.
