Avnet Releases FPGA Development Kits
Phoenix, Arizona-based Avnet Electronics Marketing has released three new development kits for the popular Xilinx line of field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). The firm said that two of the kits are for the Xiling Virtex-4 PCI Express, and one for the Virtex-5 LX. The kits are used by hardware designers to prototype devices and for the development process. The two Virtex-4 PCI Express kits support either the FX60 or FX100 devices and a PowerPC, DDR, flash, Ethernet, and debugging ports. The Virtex-5 kit is based on the LX50.
