Phoenix-based Avnet said this morning that it has closed on its acquisition of the Magirus Group, a European distributor of data center products and services. Financial details of the buy have not been announced by the company. Magirus was founded in 1981, and employes 400. Avnet said the buy would help it extend its existing resources and footprint in the EMEA; Magirus had approximately $530M in revenues in 2011.
