Data management software publisher CommVault announced Wednesday that it and the Enterprise Computing Solutions unit of Arrow Electronics Inc. have joined forces to offer businesses new archive software bundles. CommVault explained that the turnkey packages are intended for mid-size enterprises and combine modules from CommVault's Simpana 7.0 software suite with Hewlett-Packard storage hardware. Among the features included in the software bundles are a tiered archive, a compliance/e-discovery index and CommVault's Common Technology engine, which aids in data movement and management, the Oceanport, N.J.-based company said. Arrow Electronics' Enterprise Computing Solutions' unit is headquartered in Englewood, Colo. The group provides enterprise and mid-range computing products, services and solutions to value-added resellers, system integrators and independent software vendors.
