Ancestry.com Partners With Associated Press
Provo, Utah-based online family history site Ancestry.com is in a deal to bring historical news articles to the site, via a new link with the Associated Press, the two announced this morning. Ancestry.com said it will feature the original, wire copy format of fifty years of news stories from the Associated Press as part of the deal, spanning from 1937 to 1985. The deal brings more than one million AP stories to the site. Financial details of the deal were not announced. The companies said the stories are indexed by name, and can also be searched by subject and date.
