Provo, Utah-based online family history site Ancestry.com said this week that it has bolstered its big database of historical records, through a deal with the New York City Department Of Records/Municipal Archives. According to Ancestry.com, the deal adds more than 10 million birth, marriage, and death records online from New York City, spanning 1866 until 1948. The new records include a significant number of immigrants from Ellis Island.
