Scottsdale, Arizona-based 41st Parameter, a venture backed provider of fraud detection and prevention technology, said late Wednesday that it has named J. Peter Selda as its President, CEO, and a member of the firm's board of directors. Selda was most recently President and CEO of Identity Engines. Selda also served as President and CEO of WholeSecurity, which was acquired by Symantec in 2005, and has also been at Internet Dynamics. The firm said that Selda will replace Bob Lewis, who is leaving due to health reasons. 41st Parameter is backed by venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, JAFCO Ventures, and Northwest Venture Partners.
